MÁRIO MOITA e os TROVADORES DO SUL Fruto do novo cd de fado ao piano de Mário Moita surge o espectaculo mario moita e os trovadores do sul.
O fado ao piano interliga-se com o fado tradicional da guitarra e da viola culminado com sucesso, com um cante alentejano alegre e conciso com ele proprio.
Um espectaculo invulgar onde a guitarra portuguesa depois de ter acompanhado modinhas no sec 19 e só depois mais tarde o fado, descobre ela propria um amor inesperado pela musica alentejana..
Este grupo é a junção de vários artistas com experiências desde o canto lírico, às tunas, ao fado tradicional, ao cante alentejano genuíno culminando na música clássica.
Pretende tambem dar uma nova visão da música alentejana com temas pouco conhecidos e específicos de certas vilas alentejanas e com o objectivo de promover o Alentejo e Portugal no mundo.
MISSAO DOS TROVADORES DO SUL:
”A fundação da Universidade de Évora remonta ao séc. XVI, quando Évora era a principal cidade do Reino e nela conviviam cristãos, mouros e judeus. Aqui se ministraram, até ao séc. XVIII os ensinos tradicionais das humanidades, das artes e das ciências e se formaram grandes missionários evangelizadores que acompanharam a epopeia portuguesa dos descobrimentos, até às remotas terras do Japão. Durante dois séculos (1551-1759), a Universidade de Évora empenhou-se na globalização cultural” (Prof. Jorge Araújo, Reitor)
4 Séculos mais tarde 4 estudantes da Universidade juntaram-se para continuar essa divulgação cultural através do cante alentejano. Propõem-se levar o nome do Alentejo e de Portugal a terras onde um dia o astrolábio Português fez chegar as nossas caravelas.

This band from PORTUGAL is made out of a group of artists with a wide range of musical experiences, from lyric singing to “tunas” (typical type of music sung by university students), to the typical songs from Alentejo and to classical music. The band intends to show a new vision of the music from Alentejo, by performing less known themes coming from specific areas of this Portuguese region in order to promote Alentejo and Portugal throughout the world.
The task of the “TROVADORES DO SUL”:
”The Évora University Foundation” was created in the 16th century, when Évora was the main city of the kingdom e populated by Christians moslems and jews. General courses of Human Sciences, Arts and Sciences were taught at the University of Évora until the 18th century, and out of it came many great missionaries who accompanied the Portuguese epopee to the remote lands of Japan. For two centuries (1551-1759) the University was committed into a “cultural globalization” (the dean was the principal of Évora university, Professor Jorge Araújo).
Four centuries later, four students from the University got together to continue that cultural divulgation through the original typical singing from Alentejo. They intend to take the name of Alentejo and Portugal to the lands where the Portuguese astrolabe helped our caravels to arrive around the world.
